A focused panel for ESB exports

The BizTalk ESB Toolkit stores itineraries and configuration as XML. The ESB Viewer is a custom editor for VS Code that opens these exports in their own panel, separate from the text editor, so you can read an itinerary without risking accidental edits.

How it treats your files

  • Read-only: the viewer displays the document and never changes it.
  • Local: the file is loaded inside VS Code. The extension makes no network calls.
  • Live: the panel refreshes when the underlying document changes.
  • Opt-in: .xml and .esb files keep opening in the normal text editor unless you choose the viewer.
