Open a policy export

   Find the exported policy

   (a .xml or .brl file) in the Explorer.

   Right-click it and choose Open With…

   or, with the file open, run View: Reopen Editor With… from the Command Palette.

   Select BizTalk Rules Engine Viewer.

   The viewer opens on the first policy in the file.

You can also run BizTalk: Open Rules Engine Viewer from the Command Palette. It opens a file dialog filtered to .xml and .brl files.

Find your way around

• Header: the file name and the number of policies and rules in it.
• Toolbar: the policy list, a filter box, and a Show inactive checkbox.
• Summary: the selected policy's name and version, and how many of its rules are active.
• Rules: one IF/THEN card per rule.
