Quick start

Open an ESB export in the viewer.

Open an ESB file

    Open the file

    in VS Code, or right-click it in the Explorer.

    Choose Open With…

    From the Explorer context menu choose Open With…, or with the file open run View: Reopen Editor With… from the Command Palette.

    Select BizTalk ESB Viewer.

    The panel opens with the document.

From the Command Palette

Run BizTalk: Open ESB Viewer. A file dialog opens, filtered to .xml and .esb files. Pick a file and it opens in the viewer.

XML files still open as text

The viewer is registered as an optional editor. It is never chosen automatically, so your other XML files are not affected.
