Open your first map
- 1Open a folder
that contains a BizTalk project, or any folder with
.btmfiles. - 2Click a .btm file in the Explorer.
It opens in the BizTalk Map Viewer, because the extension registers itself as the default editor for
*.btm. - 3Check the schemas
at the top: SOURCE on the left, TARGET on the right.
- 4Pick a page
in the drop-down, then read the links. Type in the filter box to find a field.
No folder open? Run BizTalk: Open Map Viewer from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) and pick a .btm file in the dialog.
A .btm file still opens as XML?
VS Code may remember an earlier editor choice. Right-click the file, choose Open With…, select BizTalk Map Viewer, and then Configure default editor for '*.btm'. To read the raw XML, use Open With… and Text Editor.
